"The man once described as 'pirate and hydrographer' William Dampier (1651-1715) was the most remarkable seaman that England produced in the century and a half between Francis Drake and Captain Cook, who circumnavigated the world three times". Printed on Hamilton Wove paper bound in full mustard cloth printed with a drawing, in reverse, of a Fourth-Rate by Bouwmeester (1670-1733). )
