Boards artwork, frontispiece and seven colourful and superb full-page illustrations by Neil Packer (who also illustrated CATCH-22, ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE and THE NAME OF THE ROSE for The Folio Society). A collection of twenty-three short stories, ten essays, eight parables and an elegy by the 1961 International Publishers' Prize (shared with Samuel Beckett), the Jerusalem Prize and the Alfonso Reyes Prize winning Argentine author. First published in 1962, LABYRINTHS includes TLÖN, UQBAR, ORBIS TERTIUS, THE CIRCULAR RUINS, DEATH AND THE COMPASS, THE SECRET MIRACLE, THE GARDEN OF FORKING PATHS and THE LIBRARY OF BABEL.
