The first volume is the First Crusade 1096-1099. The second volume is The Second Crusade and the rise and fall of frankish Syria 1099-1187. The third volume is The Third Crusade 1188-1192, and the fourth volume is the Fourth Crusade and the end of Outremer 1192-1291. The Maps are by Reginald Piggott. Published on wove paper by Cambridge University Press Cambridge and bound by them in full parchment blocked and printed with a design by Neil Packer. Illustrated by Reginald Piggott.
